Temporary Allies Chapter 6 - New AllyHarry sighed as he walked into the hospital wing and saw a rather large lump shivering and shaking in one corner.  This was not going to be easy.  The rumor that Hagrid had been found with a dragon had rushed around the school like a wildfire in dry grass, getting more and more elaborate with each retelling.  Harry had already heard a dozen different tales ranging from something close to the truth (he'd hatched a baby dragon himself) all the way to him having wrestled a dragon and won only to bring it back to Hogwarts to protect the school.

Harry had rolled his eyes at that one.

Tobias was engaged in a shouting match with Eileen and Severus had confined himself to his room to avoid the beating his mother was sure to get. Severus opened the window and took a pack of cigarettes that he swiped from his dad and lit one up. As he blew out a puff, he heard the phone ring and dropped the cigarette in a startled manner. Severus picked up the phone knowing that his parents were probably too busy yelling at each other to get it. "Yes?"

"Severus?" asked a sweet heavenly voice which he immediately recognised.

After Christmas he threw himself into his schoolwork with a fervor.  It gave him something else to focus on.  The weeks came and went in a sort of hazy blur, and Harry found himself to be more and more reclusive.  It didn’t bother him except when he heard the other Slytherins whispering behind his back.  It seemed that, just as Professor Snape had predicted, his popularity and status as “The Boy Who Lived” had worn thin.  They seemed to have all come to the conclusion that the reason he’d lived as a toddler was because he’d somehow been able to run away or hide.  The thought went beyond utterly ridiculousTemporary Allies Ch 5 - Secret and Concern by ~Obi-quiet

Despite us getting up at six in morning to avoid stampedes around the house, we still ended up running late. Ginny was running around everywhere looking for her favourite pair of shoes that she refused to leave without, Ron was having trouble catching Pigwidgeon who was flapping everywhere as he was so excited at all the activity going on, and Fred and George were being indecisive about what new products they wanted to work on at Hogwarts so they were sorting through their various ingredients. Hi everyone!

First of all, I'd like to introduce a great blog to you all: the badger's sett. [link] It's a fan magazine, focused mainly on Hufflepuff, but writing also about general topics in the Harry Potter world (like wizard recipes and house unity). We are currently looking for new writers and reporters to join our staff, so have a look!:aww: Also, I'm offering advise on any house-related questions you may have, so if you need some councelling, don't hesitate to message me!:heart:

On a further note, we admins noticed that there hasn't been much group activity these last months. Do any of you have suggestions as how to change that or something you'd like us to change? Feedback will be greatly appreciated!:)
